  • DCWS controllers centrally manage DCN access points and combine user control, RF management, security, QoS and roaming.
  • The devices can act as a WLAN controller and a layer-3 switch in the network core.
  • The AC architecture supports uniform maintenance of configuration and security policies across many access points.

Intelligent RF

  • The system automatically adjusts transmit power and radio channels to reduce interference.
  • Dead-zone compensation mechanisms help maintain coverage after an access point failure.
  • RF planning makes it easier to control wireless network quality in business environments.

Plug-and-play AP

  • Access points can automatically discover the controller, allowing them to be brought up without manual configuration of each device.
  • The controller takes over configuration, management, firmware updates and the distribution of security policies.

Security and roaming

  • The controllers support WIDS/WIPS mechanisms, authentication, user isolation, QoS and access control.
  • The AC cluster supports smooth roaming of users between access points.
  • Local and centralized forwarding modes and bypass and trunk deployments are available.
