DCN Wi-Fi 6 access points — fast and dense networks

The WL8200 series are Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) access points with MU-MIMO, dual- and tri-band operation, 2.5G ports and PoE power. Stable, high-performance Wi-Fi for offices, hotels, schools and public spaces — centrally managed.

Why DCN Wi-Fi 6 access points

Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) standard

Higher throughput and performance in crowded environments thanks to OFDMA — more devices served at once, lower latency.

MU-MIMO for many users

MU-MIMO technology serves many clients simultaneously — stable Wi-Fi in halls, offices and spaces full of people.

Dual- and tri-band operation

The 2.4 and 5 GHz bands (plus a second 5 GHz radio in the WL8200-X10) balance traffic and increase real network throughput.

PoE power and management

PoE power (a single cable) and central management via a DCWS controller or the ImCloud cloud simplify deployment and maintenance.

WL8200 access point models

Choose an access point matched to user density and required throughput — from compact dual-band models to the tri-band WL8200-X10. Filter by parameters to match an AP to your facility.

FAQ — DCN Wi-Fi 6 access points

What does Wi-Fi 6 offer compared to older standards?

Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) means higher throughput, lower latency and much better operation in crowded environments. Thanks to OFDMA and MU-MIMO a single access point serves more devices at once with no drop in performance — a big difference in offices, schools and public facilities.

How many users will one access point serve?

Depending on the model: the WL8200-XW2 and X2 up to 254 clients, the WL8200-X4 up to 399 and the tri-band WL8200-X10 up to 499. In practice the number of APs is also matched to the area, obstacles and required per-user throughput.

What is the difference between dual-band and tri-band?

Dual-band uses the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands. Tri-band (WL8200-X10) adds a second 5 GHz radio, so traffic is spread across more channels — higher total throughput and better handling of many simultaneous connections.

How do I power the access points?

All WL8200 models are powered via PoE (a single cable — data and power) or a 12V DC power supply. Higher models require the right standard: the WL8200-X4 uses 802.3at and the WL8200-X10 uses 802.3bt. Our consulting makes it easy to choose a PoE switch.

Do the access points require a controller?

With a few APs you can manage them on your own, but for larger deployments a DCWS controller or the ImCloud cloud greatly simplifies the work — automatic provisioning, channel and power selection, roaming and consistent configuration of all points from one place.
